KCBS/KCAL, the combined CBS TV stations in Los Angeles, today named Rudabeh Shahbazi co-anchor of their weekday evening newscasts and promoted Sheba Turk to Shahbazi's previous gig as morning anchor on KCAL News Mornings. Starting Monday, April 28, four-time News Emmy winner Shahbazi will join longtime CBS L.A. anchor Pat Harvey for the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner announced in a news release on Feb. 19 that the journalist died of 'acute intoxication by the combined effects of chloroethane and methamphetamine' and that the manner of death was ruled an accident. The medical examiner noted that Glover was found unresponsive in his home on Nov. 5 and was pronounced dead by fire department personnel at 12:40 a.m. It noted that the deputy medical examiner completed an examination on Nov. 6 and that the manner of death was certified on Feb. 19. The Emmy-winning journalist's family announced his passing on Nov. 5 in a statement to KCAL, where he had been a news anchor for a year.
