Decatur man dies in hospital following Lawrence County crash
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A Decatur man died from his injuries after authorities say he was involved in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening.
Daniel G. Chenault, 70, of Decatur was critically injured when the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe he was driving hit a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Alabama 20 near the 61-mile marker, about four miles west of Trinity.
Chenault was taken to Decatur General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Patricia Chenault, 73, of Decatur, who was a passenger with Daniel Chenault, was injured and taken to Decatur General Hospital for treatment.
