YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Cheryl Louise Johnson departed this worldly life on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Hospice House.
Cheryl was born in Youngstown on June 6, 1945, to Donald and Mildred (Neville) Johnson.

Little is known about Cheryl's early years or any extended family members but she became part of the Gateways to Better Living family on February 7, 1991. Prior to moving to Gateways, Cheryl was also a resident at the Youngstown Developmental Center.
Cheryl enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved to listen to music and watch television, oftentimes simultaneously.
She was active in Gateway's Day programs where she got to spend time doing arts and crafts, going on outings and enjoying parties and day-to-day life with her fellow housemates. Cheryl loved sitting in her rocking chair and looking out into her wooded yard to see if she could spot any birds or a friendly squirrel.
She will be dearly missed by her roommates, whom which she made her home; her caregivers and her entire Gateway's family. Cheryl also leaves a sister, Cynthia Buck.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
