Bajaj Auto Retails 3.65 Lakh Units In April25, Witnessing 6 Pc YoY Drop
New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Friday said its total sales declined 6 per cent year-on-year to 3,65,810 units in April. The company had reported sales of 3,88,256 units in April last year. Domestic sales declined 11 per cent year-on-year to 2,20,615 units, as against 2,49,083 units in the year-ago period, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing. Exports, however, increased 4 per cent year-on-year to 1,45,195 units, as compared to 1,39,173 units in April last year. Also, Bajaj has showcased a strong focus on its EV line-up, as the company recently expanded the range of Chetak electric scooters sold in the Indian market with the launch of the new Chetak 3503. With a price tag of Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), it is the most affordable variant of the electric two-wheeler and comes a few months after the launch of the new Chetak 35 Series. Sticking to its roots, the electric vehicle uses the same battery pack and chassis as the other models of the range. The Chetak 35 Series has the Chetak 3501 (the top-of-the-range model), which comes priced at Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom), the Chetak 3502 with a price tag of Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom), and the latest 3501. The latest model of the range will compete directly against models like TVS iQube 3.4, Ola S1X+, and Ather Rizta S in India. Moreover, a update for the Bajaj Dominar 400 is in the pipeline. Although the updated model has been spotted at dealerships, the launch date of the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 has not been announced yet. Also, the prices of the new avatar are likely to receive a hike and will be announced during the official launch.

Bajaj launches most affordable 35 Series scooter, Chetak 3503 at Rs 1.10 lakh
Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3503, the most budget-friendly variant in its Chetak 35 Series electric scooter lineup, priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Launched to make the iconic Chetak brand more accessible to Indian consumers, the 3503 undercuts the Chetak 3502 (Rs 1.22 lakh ex-showroom) and the flagship 3501 (Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom).The Chetak 3503 joins the 35 Series, introduced in December 2024, which brought a redesigned chassis, a larger battery, and enhanced storage to the Chetak lineup. Positioned as the entry-level model in this series, the 3503 retains the core upgrades but trims certain premium features to achieve its competitive price point, making it a strong contender against rivals like the Ather Rizta S, Ola S1 X+, and TVS Chetak 3503 is powered by the same 3.5kWh battery pack as its 3501 and 3502 siblings, delivering a claimed range of 155km per charge. However, its top speed is capped at 63kmph, compared to 73kmph for the 3501 and 3502, reflecting a focus on efficiency over performance. The scooter charges from 0-80% in 3 hours and 25 minutes. Built on the 35 Series' new chassis, the 3503 benefits from a 25mm longer wheelbase and a repositioned battery under the floorboard, freeing up 35-liters of under-seat storage. The seat is 80mm longer at 725mm, enhancing rider and pillion comfort. Its all-metal, IP67-rated body ensures durability, while LED lighting and 12-inch steel wheels maintain the Chetak's retro-modern keep costs down, Bajaj has simplified the feature set. The 3503 sports a colour LCD display with basic Bluetooth connectivity for call and music control, but lacks the touchscreen TFT, full navigation, and smartphone integration of the 3501. It also swaps the front disc brake for a drum brake, omits sequential turn indicators, and uses a traditional key instead of a keyless system. Despite these cuts, it retains practical features like hill hold assist, Eco and Sports ride scooter is available in four colour options: Brooklyn Black, Indigo Blue, Cyber White, and Matt to Auto Today Magazine

Being part of the 35 Series, it benefits from the updated chassis, which includes 35 liters of under-seat storage, and it also features Chetak's signature metal body.
