Two women shot during Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade, police investigating
(WHTM) — Two people were shot in Philadelphia during the Eagles Super Bowl parade Friday afternoon, according to police.
Philadelphia Police say two women, 20 and 27 years old, were shot outside the parade footprint on the highway near the 2300 block of Ben Franklin Parkway around 2:35 p.m.
The victims were then rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where they are in stable condition, police said. One woman was shot in the upper left thigh while the other was shot in her left leg.
Police are investigating the double shooting and say they have not found a crime scene or weapon. The release states no arrests have been made either.

The incident comes after multiple people were shot at the Kansas City Chief Super Bowl parade in 2024.
Hundreds of thousands of people flocked to the city of Philadelphia for the Eagles Super Bowl parade, filling streets, sidewalks, and buildings. The Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22.
