New lawsuit filed in three Chiefs fans' deaths following charges
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against the two men charged with the deaths of three Chiefs fans last year.
Ricky Johnson, Clayton McGeeney and David Harrington were found dead in the backyard of a Northland home following a Chiefs Wild Card game. On Wednesday, Platte County prosecutors charged Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson with involuntary manslaughter and delivery of a controlled substance.

Those prosecutors say they provided the cocaine and fentanyl that killed the three men.
Tonight, March 9, new court documents reveal that David Harrington's father is suing both Willis and Carson for negligence in his son's death. The lawsuit claims the men knew the dangers both drugs pose, and failed to render aid when Harrington overdosed.
The lawsuit is seeking a total of $100,000 in damages.
