If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - The 80th anniversary of VE Day, commemorating the end of the Second World War in Europe, commenced today with a military procession from Parliament Square to Buckingham Palace. Among the attendees were several senior members of the Royal Family, including the King and Queen, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Princess Kate demonstrated her timeless style in a bespoke Emilia Wickstead coat dress, previously worn in 2022. As expected, the berry-coloured design exuded elegance through the use of classic peak lapels, a cinched waist and knife-pleat skirt. Kate completed her ensemble with recycled accessories: a Sean Barrett pillbox hat, Ralph Lauren court shoes, and diamond and ruby jewellery. Keen to channel her graceful look? More info Get the latest Edinburgh Live breaking news on WhatsApp An Edinburgh city centre building is undergoing a transformation, with a luxury brand set to move in. Chisholm Hunter, based in Glasgow, are moving in to 98 Princes Street. The jewellery and watch seller launched their 'flagship' store in the capital back in 2016. They're now moving into a new unit, and refurbishing the space. The unit, which previously operated as a souvenir shop selling various Scottish themed gifts, sits beside other luxury brands like Swatch and Thomas Sabo. Prior to operating as the Royal House of Scotland, the spot was an All Saints - before the clothing brand moved up onto George Street. Renovations include new shopfronts, adding shutters, new flooring, suspended ceilings and wall display units. On their website, Chisholm Hunter say: "Founded in 1857 on Chisholm Street, Chisholm Hunter first opened its doors in Victorian Glasgow. "Originally known as the 'Store of 10,000 wonders', the shop stocked an eclectic array of rare treasures, including fine jewellery and precious gems sourced from all over the world. It quickly established a reputation for delighting even the most discerning customers with its wide variety of treasures and, as a result, enjoyed great success in its early years."
