Man receives tray of rotten eggs from Blinkit, viral video prompts netizens to share similar experiences

Chow Sureng Rajkonwar, a content creator, shared a video that has sparked outrage against the quick-commerce platform Blinkit. In the viral clip, which has garnered thousands of views on Instagram, he reveals that he allegedly received a tray of rotten eggs through the app. The video shows him cracking open the eggs, only to find that they are discoloured and emit a foul smell. He went on to crack more eggs to show a black liquid-like consistency flowing out. 'Dekhiye pura kaala-kaala kya nikal rha hai (Look at it! What's this black liquid coming out of the eggs?),' he said. Rajkonwar further explained that he got suspicious as soon as he received the order due to a strong foul smell, which prompted him to inspect the eggs. 'Rotten eggs from Blink it,' the caption read. The company has not yet responded to the video. I've now switched back to local markets. God knows what I was consuming.' Another user commented, 'Yes same experience when I bought the 30 eggs tray but when I buy the 10 eggs tray the eggs are good. No idea why.' 'Had a similar incident with @letsblinkit recently. Got rotten dates delivered. Although they did refund but I will think twice to purchase again,' a third user shared. 'Always buy groceries from local shops as products are sold off regularly and you also get chance to see the expiry before you buy,' a fourth user commented. In March, a customer accused Blinkit of misleading consumers by delivering products that weighed less than what was advertised on the app. The customer shared their experience on Reddit, claiming that a packet of grapes they received was significantly underweight compared to the 500g listed on the Blinkit website.
