Every school board in Bucks County has seats up for re-election this year and most candidates cross-filed their petitions and appear on the May 20 primary ballots they run for their respective party's nominations for the Nov. 4 general election. While Pennsylvania is a closed primary state where indepedents have no say in the Democratic or Republican nominations in May for a number of local races, it's not uncommon for candidates in school board and judge positions to 'cross file' for both parties. What to know ahead of the primary: The 2025 PA primary is May 20: What to know about this year's elections in Bucks County. There are dozens more candidates running for the Republican and Democratic nominations for school boards across Bucks County, with each race having four seats up for election. Voters can also select write-in nominations as well. The last day to register to vote in the primary was May 5. Third-party candidates are to have until Aug. 1 to file nomination papers to appear on the Nov. 4 ballot, and voters can write-in. The searchable table below has a full list of candidates for school board races from the county's election offices, as well as additional information from a review of each candidate's nomination petition and voter registration data. The table includes each candidate's name, election, listed occupation, the municipality they live in based on voter registration, the party nomination they're seeking and the party they're currently registered for as of Feb. 17. Bucks County pothole repair work is set to begin. Watch for slowdowns on these routes.

Crews are to be repairing potholes on more than a dozen Bucks County roads this week as part of a larger repair project across Philaelphia and its collar counties. The Philadelphia region experiences a high volume of pothole repairs around this time of year because of the fluctuation of mild and freezing temperatures, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. With warmer temperatures in the forecast, more than 60 highways in the region are to receive pothole repairs in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. Drivers should be aware of travel restrictions and possible slowdowns in the following areas as result of the roadway repairs: U.S. 1, Doylestown Borough. U.S. 13, Falls. Route 212, Richland and Springfield. Route 611 (Easton Road), Plumstead. Route 611 Bypass, Doylestown Borough. Allentown Road, Milford and Richland. Bethlehem Pike, Milford and Springfield. Delaware Road, Riegelsville. Easton Road, Doylestown Borough and Plumstead. Edgley Road, Middletown and Bristol townships. Oxford Valley Road, Middletown. Steinsburg Road, Milford. Stoopville Road, Newtown. Crews are to be patching these potholes until all areas are addressed. The work is subject to pause during bad weather.
