Man arrested after van collides with shop front in town centre

A man has been arrested after a van collided with a shop front in Ystradgynlais town centre.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed the incident happened just before 8pm on Tuesday, June 17. According to the force a white van collided with a shop front in Brecon Road.
The driver allegedly made off on foot and was later found by officers and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without consent, being unfit through drugs, driving without insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Photos from the scene showed a large emergency service presence in the town centre as well as the extent of the damage following the incident.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
