Black Phone sequel releases terrifying new teasers

The Black Phone 2 has unveiled three terrifying new teasers, ahead of its upcoming release. The original movie followed shy 13-year-old Finney Shaw (Mason Thames), who was abducted by a mask-wearing child killer known as The Grabber (Ethan Hawke). But things take an eerie turn when a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring and Finney hears the voices of The Grabber's previous victims. The horror sequel is scheduled to hit cinemas later this year with Thames, Hawke, Madeleine McGraw and Jeremy Davies reprising their roles. While the plot details are being kept under wraps, new footage released by Fandango has revealed a key location, different victims and, of course, a black phone. 'The phone is ringing again. Are you going to answer?'We just got a text that included the first tease for BLACK PHONE 2! Only in theaters this October. — Fandango (@Fandango) May 31, 2025 Related: The first teaser trailer, posted on X/Twitter, sees the snowy backdrop of the Christian Alpine Lake Youth Camp, as an abandoned telephone box begins to light up and ring. "Jesus, I'm not doing so well. I need help, some real help," narrates an unknown voice. "I'm scared he's gonna kill me." This is where it happened.'We just received another video teasing BLACK PHONE 2. — Fandango (@Fandango) May 31, 2025 The second clip features the pictures of three missing young boys, whose murders are explained by another faceless character. The character details what happened to each of the boys at the camp, alongside horrific flashbacks of the deaths. Meanwhile, the third and final teaser shows ominous flashes of the terrifying dead victims, whose bloodied bodies were hidden across the camp. The clip ends with a voice declaring "we're going to die out here", followed by an inside shot of the telephone box. 'We're going to die out here.'A third video teasing BLACK PHONE 2 just arrived in the form of another mysterious text message… on our phone 😱 — Fandango (@Fandango) May 31, 2025 Though The Grabber didn't make a direct appearance in the footage, could the murders be linked to the sinister villain? The Black Phone 2 will be released in cinemas on 17 October, 2025. Digital Spy's first print magazine is here!
