Motorcyclist dies in Woodbridge crash after running red light, police say
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. () — A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday night after they ran a red light and collided with a car in Woodbridge, police said.
At around 10:30 p.m. on May 10, officers were called to investigate a crash in the area of Minnieville Road, near Prince William Parkway.
At the scene, investigators learned that the rider of a 2019 Indian FTR 1200 motorcycle was traveling east on Minnieville Road when they went through a red light at the intersection, according to the Prince William County Police Department. At the same time, a Kia Soul was turning left, and the two vehicles collided.

As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, later identified as Christian Zayas, 28, of Woodbridge, was thrown off the bike.
Zayas was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The driver and passenger of the Kia were treated for minor injuries.
Investigators urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact police.
