March 30th celebrates National Doctors Day
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — March 30th is also known as National Doctors Day as a way to celebrate all physicians.
Here in eastern North Carolina, ECU Health has been celebrating their own all throughout this past week.
They say although they show their appreciation to their physicians every day, this week doctors have been celebrated in many ways, one being each doctor will receive a gift from ECU Health leaders on Monday.
'I can tell you, one of the things that we know is that feeling valued and appreciated is really important. That's not unique to health care, but we know that the studies show us that in health care, we really want to feel valued, we want to feel appreciated, we want to feel supported. My lens is, I really think about the well-being of our team members, our nurses, our providers, our physicians, and how we come alongside them and say, we see you, we appreciate you,' said Dr. Christina Bowen, the Chief Well-being Officer at ECU Health.
