According to the Leavenworth County Attorney's Office, the charges stem from a May 30, 2024, incident in which Stafford shouted threated and vowed to kill the victim.
Court records say at the time of the threat, the victim was loading two children into a car. When Stafford said she was going to get a gun, the victim left the scene.
Stafford stated later that she believed the victim and her husband were witches who had placed a hex on her, blaming them for her streak of misfortune.
