Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are now red carpet official – the new couple put on a loved-up display in Rome on Saturday night. The superstar couple, 63 and 59 respectively, have been linked with each other since they worked together on the 2021 film Christmas In Paradise. As of April 2025, neither star had commented on the dating rumours officially, but they did post romantic photographs together on social media. And now the two have gone red carpet official with the pair stepping out in glamorous outfits to announce their love in the Italian capital of Rome over the weekend. Elizabeth opted for a bright pink gown for the night, while Billy Ray chose a dark suit, sunglasses, and skin-tight trousers to complete his stylish outfit. The two were in attendance at the launch of the brand new Orizzonti | Rosso exhibition, which opened over the weekend. It's the first time Billy Ray and Elizabeth have been seen together since 'hard launching' their relationship over Easter this year with a romantic snap on Instagram. The pair both wore casual clothing and sat down for a sweet smooch in the sunshine, with the two comfortably leaning up against a fence on a farm. In April, a source had confirmed to People Magazine that Billy Ray and Elizabeth's romance was very much real, and revealed how they first met. 'Liz is great and visited him for Easter. They've been seeing each other romantically for a little bit. And how lucky is he? Liz is lovely. She's very warm, positive and the best to be around. The source also emphasised how much they enjoyed making Christmas In Paradise together adding: 'They had a great time shooting that movie together – it was beautiful and relaxed, and it really stuck with him.' Elizabeth also uploaded a picture of the two while they spent a weekend away in Tennessee, with Billy Ray putting both his arms around her as they leaned up against a tree. Billy Ray's new love comes amid reports of a Cyrus family feud involving his children – popstar and actor Miley Cyrus, and 00s hitmaker Trace Cyrus. The Achy Breaky Heart singer has apparently been in something of a war of words with the rest of the Cyrus clan over the last 18 months. More Trending Speculation first began in earnest in 2024 when Miley, 32, appeared to skip her dad's wedding to Australian singer Firerose – their marriage lasted only months. Before that, Miley's brother and Metro Station singer Trace publicly sent several emotional messages to Billy Ray, saying he was 'worried' about his dad. Two weeks ago, Miley opened up on her relationship with Billy Ray, writing on Instagram: 'My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. 'Now, in my 30s, family is my priority above all else. In a new interview, Billy Ray Cyrus is opening up about his unexpected relationship with Elizabeth Hurley and the text message that started it all. The 'Old Town Road' singer sat down with Apple Music's The Ty Bentli Show this week, and in an excerpt previewed by People, Cyrus opened up about reconnecting with the actress after filming the movie Christmas in Paradise together back in 2022. The movie was filmed the same year the country star separated from ex-wife Tish, with whom he shares five children: Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison and Noah. (Cyrus also has two children, Christopher and Kristen, from a previous relationship.) Cyrus then went on to marry singer Firerose in 2023 before divorcing the next year. Cyrus has faced many public challenges in the past year, including allegations of domestic abuse from ex-wife Firerose and an apparent estrangement from some of his famous children, including Miley. 'I felt like, 'Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?'' Cyrus told Bentli in the new interview. 'For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment… a friend reached out.' According to Cyrus, the text from an unknown number read: 'Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I'm in your corner. You've got a friend in your corner.' 'So I text back, I go, 'Who is this?' And it's like, 'Elizabeth Hurley,'' Cyrus recalled. 'Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh.' Cyrus likened the sentiment to a moment in 1992 when the late Johnny Cash supported him as critics were bashing his music. 'Johnny said, 'Hey, you know, just remember that all things that are good come from almighty God above and that stuff happens, and in your case… the good outweighs the bad. Let 'em have it. I'm in your corner.'' The 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer went on to praise Hurley, telling Bentli: 'She's so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She's a very smart businesswoman. If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.' He also said he has a relationship with Hurley's 23-year-old son Damian. 'No expectations of where we go from here other than her and her son — I do love him a lot, and it's great that God brought them into my life when he did,' Cyrus said. 'It's just a good thing.
