Ganzo's Cinco de Mayo 5K canceled
A long time charity race in the Quad Cities is hanging up its running shoes.
A post on Ganzo's Cinco de Mayo 5K's Facebook page says that due to rising costs, the race will no longer be held. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will be celebrated as usual.
'From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey,' the post said. 'Your enthusiasm and generosity have made a lasting impact on our community. We hope to see you at the fiesta!'
The post says runners have helped raise over $60,000 for local charities over the past 11 years.
