Free Outdoor Concert postponed due to possible severe weather
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The City of Wichita Falls Recreation announced Tuesday that their Tuesday night Free Outdoor Concert has been postponed. The band Texas Flood was set to perform at Bud Daniel Park on June 3 at 7 p.m., but has now been rescheduled for October 14. The postponement comes after severe weather is expected to hit areas of Texoma, including Wichita Falls. Postponed 2025 Kids' Fishing Rodeo goes swimmingly
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Dozens of families flocked to Plum Lake for the annual Kids' Fishing Rodeo. Officials with Parks and Recreation and Texas Parks and Wildlife stocked Plum Lake with trout and other fish species to give kids of all ages a chance to cast their lines in a friendly competition on Saturday, March 15. Despite weather postponements and Friday's strong winds, Recreation Coordinator Cindy Cummings said the 2025 Kids' Fishing Rodeo was a success. 'Usually, the parents are all out with them; sometimes, the whole family and grandmas are out,' Cummings said. 'We have a pretty good turnout this week. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate last week, so we had to postpone it a little bit, but it all worked out really well.'
