Tareq Al Nasser Dazzles Roman Amphitheater Audience in an Exceptional Evening - Jordan News

On Saturday evening, renowned Jordanian composer Tareq Al Nasser delivered a remarkable musical performance at the Roman Amphitheater in the heart of Amman. The event was attended by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ms. Lina Annab, and held as part of the 'Month of Music' celebrations organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board, in honor of World Music Day, celebrated annually on June 21. اضافة اعلان Minister Annab emphasized that music is one of the most refined forms of human expression, with its unique ability to bring people together and foster understanding and openness. She added that such events highlight the dynamic artistic identity of Jordan and encourage local communities and visitors to engage with historical sites in a modern, interactive spirit. She also noted that integrating music into archaeological sites reintroduces them as vibrant, living spaces where cultural experiences are actively lived, enhancing the appeal of the tourism experience. The concert, led by Tareq Al Nasser, drew a large and diverse crowd, with thousands of locals and foreign visitors gathering to enjoy the musical atmosphere at one of Amman's most iconic archaeological landmarks. The scene reflected the Jordanian public's deep appreciation for live art and authentic cultural experiences. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities organized a series of musical performances across public venues in Amman, featuring local Jordanian artists. These included Ala' Al-Ma'ayta playing the oud at Paris Circle in Jabal Al-Luweibdeh, Mo'taz Abdo performing violin in Faisal Square, and Sameh Sobhi playing the rababa on Rainbow Street—an interactive display that showcased the diversity and richness of Jordanian musical expression. The "Month of Music" events will continue until the end of June, with performances scheduled across various governorates, including: Autostrad Band in Umm Qais on June 24 Rami Shafiq at Al Hassan Youth City in Irbid on June 26 Talal Abu Al Ragheb at the Odeon Theater in Amman on June 27 Rahoub Band in Mafraq on June 27, 2025 The celebrations also feature mobile cinema screenings as part of the 'Cinema 'Ain' initiative, which aims to integrate cinema into public spaces and promote cultural dialogue through interactive film showings held in open-air venues throughout the Kingdom.
