Rajkot: A 51-year-old manager of a private company in was cheated of in . The victim, Sandeep Mukherjee, originally from Kolkata and currently residing in Adiput, lodged a complaint, naming Rashi Gupta, Shyam Ranjan, and Mini Nair,Mukherjee, who has lived in Kutch for the past eight years, said six months ago he began researching online trading through Google. She claimed to represent Citadel Mummy Trading Company, which allegedly facilitated online trading through NSE and created a trading account and began investing. Over time, he transferred a total of Rs 22.3 lakh. Although he was shown a return of only Rs 36,200, the trading application reflected an available fund balance of Rs 4.56 crore. When he attempted to withdraw these funds, Gupta claimed that Rs 11 lakh in management fees would be required to release the Dec 2, 2024, a woman named Mini Nair contacted Mukherjee, this time claiming to represent Angel One for online trading services. She convinced both Mukherjee and his colleague Sandipkumar to open new accounts, again promising high returns by buying undervalued transferred an additional Rs 8.16 lakh, while Sandipkumar invested Rs 9.81 lakh. When they attempted to withdraw their funds and profits, they were told to deposit another Rs 16 lak, after which they realized that the scheme was fraudulent.
