Lukas Roberts presented with Citizen Appreciation Award for heroic actions
BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Bristol Tennessee Police Department (BTPD) presented a Citizen Appreciation Award to Lukas Roberts on Tuesday night.
Roberts received the distinction for exhibiting bravery in a perilous situation, the City of Bristol, Tennessee said in a social media post on Wednesday.

The award stems from an incident that occurred last summer when a disruptive individual entered Lukas' place of business and began threatening employees and customers. Lukas acted quickly, restraining the suspect until police arrived. Through this act of bravery, he protected his fellow employees and prevented further harm to a female customer who had been assaulted.

The post said that the BTPD commended Roberts for his 'remarkable courage, leadership and concern for the well-being of his community.'
The city added that the world needs more individuals like Roberts.
