Helping those in need snip by snip in Scranton
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A pair of Electric City-based barbers decided to give back by providing free haircuts to those in need.
Dozens of kids got free cuts this morning thanks to City Touch Barbershop in Scranton.
Free refreshments were provided for the kids, with pizza donated by Buona Pizza, and snacks and drinks donated by the youth basketball group Hoop Heroes.
96th annual Millville Fireman's Carnival begins Friday
More than 30 kids walked out of the event with a fresh haircut for summer at no cost to the families.
'Every year, we try to give as much as we can back. Again, the community is what keeps us here,' City Touch Barber Shop and Salon Owner Alejandro Paulino said.
City Touch Barbershop closes at 7:00 p.m., but the owner says that for this event, they'll stay open until the last child's haircut is done.
