Manchester City have unveiled a special edition kit for this summer's Club World Cup. And fans will notice that it has a familiar feel, with the Cityzens adopting the look of some popular former away kits when they take to the field in the USA this month. Manchester City midfielder Roord joins FC Twente
Manchester City midfielder Jill Roord has joined Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie club FC Twente on a permanent deal. The Dutch side announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning. Advertisement It has been reported that Roord has signed a three-year deal with The Girls of Twente. The 28-year-old joined Manchester City in summer 2023 and she has gone on to be a key player for The Cityzens. Roord has made 47 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions while has scored 14 goals. The player would have played an even greater role for the club if not for an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. Roord re-joins the club where she spent her youth and the early days of her senior career. Speaking after completing her move to FC Twente, Roord said 'I am very happy and proud that I am returning to FC Twente. I grew up here and developed myself here. Advertisement 'I played abroad for fantastic clubs for a long time and gave everything for eight years. In recent years, I have increasingly lost my enjoyment of football and my happiness. I can already feel that I will find that here immediately. 'I still have many ambitions. FC Twente has always been my club and performing with your own club is the best thing there is. I hope to play an important role in that.' Roord is the second player to leave Manchester City in the close season.
