The esteemed actor - who famously starred alongside Elvis Presley - died from respiratory failure at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, on Monday. Hutchins was revered for his role as Tom Brewster—the good-natured marksman and pioneering solicitor— in the ABC series Sugarfoot. His tenure as the beloved character spanned 69 episodes from 1957 to 1961. Barbara Torres, Hutchins' wife, reflected fondly on her husband's influence, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter: "He was hysterical, everyone loved him," she commented.
