New partnership to support Clarion Herald
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New information has been released discussing the future of the Clarion Herald. The Archdiocese of New Orleans has announced a partnership to allow the Herald to continue publication. Dedication ceremony held for Chalmette Slip Rehabilitation Project Starting July 1, a private communications group will take over the Herald's printing and advertising while the Archdiocese will focus on a digital version. New Orleans nun abducted, released in West Africa dies at 86
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In 2022, the world learned of New Orleans Marianite nun, Sister Suellen Tennyson after she was abducted in West Africa and held captive for five months. On Wednesday, April 2, the Clarion Herald reported Tennyson died at the Sisters' residence in Covington at the age of 86. Seaplane crash in Lafourche Parish leaves two dead In April 2022, following her return to New Orleans, Tennyson described the night she was abducted saying she was taken form her bed without her shoes and medicine , blindfolded, gagged and put on the back of a motorcycle. She claimed that after the ride she was passed to another group who she says 'treated her reasonably well.' In August 2022, she was freed and released to the FBI, the U.S. Embassy and Air Force who brought her home. I cannot even comprehend or find a way to express the gratitude that's in my heart for all the people who prayed for me,' said Sister Suellen in 2022.
