PBA: Nocum, Clarito tow Rain or Shine past Phoenix

(Photo: PBA Media) Adrian Nocum and Jhonard Clarito combined for 50 points to tow Rain or Shine past Phoenix, 109-99, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Philsports Arena. Nocum posted 30 points, while Clarito waxed hot from beyond the arc with four triples to post 20 points. It was Rain or Shine from the get go as they led by 19, 57-38 before halftime closed at 57-43. The Elasto Painters then took control of the game en route to the bounce back victory. Aside from Nocum and Clarito, Caelan Tiongson had 14 points, while Santi Santillan added 12 points as Rain or Shine improved to 5-3. Ken Tuffin led the Fuel Masters with 15 points, while Tyler Tio and Raffy Verano chipped in 14 points each as Phoenix absorbed its third straight loss and slipped to 2-6.
