What's Driving You Crazy? – It's not just cars being affected by the 3-year-long makeover of Summerlin Pkwy and the 215 Western Beltway
At the 3-year-long makeover of the 215 Western Beltway and Summerlin Pkwy, it's not just cars being affected.
Walkers and bike riders are also feeling the pinch. The Clark County Public Works Department recently shut down the 215 Beltway Trail between Summerlin Pkwy and Far Hills. The recommended half-mile detour takes you a little further west of the Beltway to the residential street Carriage Hill Drive.
The closure and detour are scheduled to last into September, so: heads-up to drivers on Carriage Hill to keep a closer eye out for walkers and bicyclists.
By the way, the road work has also shut down the access ramp from westbound Summerlin Pkwy to the southbound 215 beltway. You can go north on the beltway to Lake Mead and come back south, or work your way to Far Hills to access the southbound beltway.
Clark County's web page on the project has weekly updates. Check it out by clicking – – – > HERE.
Buckle up, drive carefully – and please put down that phone.
