Celta Vigo chief confirms plans for summer transfer window
Celta Vigo president Marián Mouriño has this week provided an insight into the club's plans for the upcoming summer transfer window. This, of course, comes fresh off a season to remember for Celta in 2024/25. Ahead of an upcoming Europa League adventure, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of the Celestes' board planning to strengthen in the summer. During an exchange with the media, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, on Friday, club president Marián Mouriño was drawn on whether or not she expects Celta Vigo to be active on the transfer front over the weeks and months ahead. And the 50-year-old went on to confirm: 'The idea is to continue this season's squad and not let any key players leave. Goalkeeper is one of the positions we're going to strengthen.' Celta Vigo denounces racist slurs against player at Barcelona
BARCELONA, Spain — Celta Vigo midfielder Ilaix Moriba was targeted by racist insults from Barcelona fans after their La Liga game on Saturday, his coach said. Celta coach Claudio Giráldez said the 22-year-old Moriba, who is from Guinea, was subjected to racist slurs when he was substituted late in the game won by Barcelona 4-3.
