Beloved Lizzie McGuire child star now looks unrecognizable
Twenty-four years ago, Clayton Snyder found fame by portraying Hilary Duff 's high school crush Ethan Craft in the beloved Disney Channel show Lizzie McGuire at just 13 years old.
But now, decades on, the actor, 37, looks drastically different from his Disney days.
The former child star often shares clips and photos of himself to his Instagram, where he has nearly 60,000 followers, and he's gone through a drastic transformation over the years.
Instead of the long, voluptuous hair that he sported in the series, he now has much shorter locks.
He also has a scruffy salt and pepper beard, letting some of his natural gray come through.
Clayton was skyrocketed into the spotlight after he starred the charming boy that all the girls were crushing on in Lizzie McGuire in 2001.
He continued the role for three years until the show ended in 2004, as well as in the Lizzie McGuire Movie.
During his three years in the show, he completely captured the hearts of its millions of viewers, transforming him into a massive star.

But after it ended, he shied away from the spotlight and took a long break from acting.
He previously reflected on his decision to step back from the industry to E!, explaining during a 2002 interview, 'Frankly, when the show wrapped up, I was kind of thankful.
'I was like, "OK, phew, going into high school, new chapter, that's done. We're going to see what this is going to be like."
'And that's when they were like, "Hey, do you want to do [the Lizzie McGuire Movie]?"'
He added that he had just made it onto the varsity water polo team at his school, but quit the sport to go film the movie.
'It was that decision, actually, that got me to stop acting completely. I was pretty down at that time,' he continued.
'I really felt like I desired to be a team player in the things that I do. And I was able to enact that in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, but for some reason, not being there for my water polo team weighed very heavily on my part. And so after the movie, it was like, "OK, this is it, this is what I am doing."'
However, he returned to acting in 2014, after nearly a decade hiatus, when he started to appear in a slew of short films and make guest appearances in some popular shows.

And it seems Clayton is nothing but grateful when it comes to his time in Lizzie McGuire.
