CDOT Click it or Ticket Campaign results for May 12
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has released its results of its Click it or Ticket Campaign.
The Click it or Ticket Campaign spanned from May 12 to June 1, involving the Colorado State Patrol and 60 local law enforcement agencies, including the Mesa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).
According to preliminary data, 2,428 citations were written. A 36% increase from the same campaign during the same period last year.
The agencies with the highest number of citations were Thornton Police Department with 99 citations, Larimer County with 259 citations and Loveland with 367 citations.
206 citations were issued for having an improperly restrained child under the age of 18, with that category seeing a 178% increase from the 74 citations given in 2024.
Although MCSO was part of the campaign, results from its department have not yet been posted.
