Bournemouth detached house sold for £282,000 in auction
A DETACHED Bournemouth house with structural problems was sold for £282,000 in an auction.
The three-bedroom property at 7 Mavis Road, just off the West Way, attracted 68 bids in the latest Clive Emson Auctioneers event.
Michael Marchant, senior auction appraiser for Clive Emson Auctioneers, said: "There was keen interest in the house, with 68 bids made.

"The final bid of £282,000 was £62,000 more than the lower end of the guide price for the property, which had suffered from some structural movement and requires a programme of repair, upgrading and refurbishment."
The joint auctioneers were House & Son.
Also featured was a two-bedroom flat at 16 Amberley Court, Bath Road, Bournemouth.
With a 999-year lease from 2006 and a share of the freehold, the flat had a guide price of £150,000-plus and was let under the terms of an assured shorthold tenancy.
