Dwight Howard chooses between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James

Dwight Howard chooses between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James The hot debate these days is whether Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the greatest player in NBA history. Many still give the nod to Jordan, who led the Chicago Bulls to six championships in the 1990s and never lost in the NBA Finals. For some people, there is also a hot debate about whether James or Kobe Bryant was a better player. There are those who believe that Bryant, the late Los Angeles Lakers legend who led the franchise to five world titles, was a superior player because of his sublime scoring skills and incredible abilities in crunch time. Dwight Howard is an incredibly lucky man, as he got to play with both Bryant and James during his Hall of Fame career. During an appearance on the "Club 520" podcast, he appeared to give James the nod as the overall better player, but with one caveat — a big one. 'Everything combined, you got to give it to LeBron,' Howard said. 'Scoring-wise, I got to say I like Kobe. If it's late in the game, I'm giving the ball to Kobe. I'm not going to give the ball to LeBron late in the game. I'm going to give it to Kobe.' While one could argue James is the better scorer, especially since he's the NBA's all-time leading scorer, Bryant was definitely much more skilled in that category. He was, according to many, the superior player in crunch time, and much of his legend is based on how he regularly rose to the occasion under pressure. In fact, the late Dr. Jack Ramsay, one of the greatest coaches and teachers in basketball history, once called Bryant the greatest closer in the history of basketball. He said that Bryant would not only hit the game-winning shot, but prior to that, Bryant would hit a series of shots or make plays to bring the Lakers back from a deficit and put them in position to win. While James has hit his share of clutch shots during his 22-year career, some feel he has faltered in big moments or simply failed to deliver too often.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown needs to step up in Jayson Tatum's absence

Celtics' Jaylen Brown needs to step up in Jayson Tatum's absence After losing to the New York Knicks on Monday, May 12, the Boston Celtics stand on the brink of elimination. Joe Mazzulla's team is trailing the series 3-1, and will be without Jayson Tatum, who suffered an Achilles tear, for the remainder of the postseason. As such, Boston could be eliminated from the playoffs in front of their hometown crowd on Wednesday, May 14. Of course, the Celtics still have enough talent to put up a fight. Jaylen Brown will spearhead the offense, and all eyes will now be on Kristaps Porzingis to step up, after struggling throughout the playoffs thus far. Losing Tatum will hurt, but the Celtics should at least remain competitive in his absence. Former Celtics guard Jeff Teague shared a similar sentiment during a May 13 episode of his "Club 520" podcast. The veteran ball-handler noted how Brown must step up and prove himself to be the star that many say he is. Teague also discussed Tatum's injury, the impact it will have on Boston, and the potential recovery timeline Tatum is now facing. Could the Boston Celtics trade Jaylen Brown if the New York Knicks sweep their team?

Could the Boston Celtics trade star forward Jaylen Brown if the New York Knicks sweep their team? If you ask former Boston floor general Jeff Teague, such a drastic move is definitely on the table for the Celtics if things go as bad as they could in Boston's 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round series against their Atlantic Division foes. In both Game 1 and 2 of the season, the Georgia native was part of the problem behind the Celtics dropping a 20-point lead in both contests. And while it would be very much unfair to suggest he bears the bulk of the blame in either outcome, his large salary (and significant talent) makes him a prime option for the team's front office to move, per the Boston point guard alum on his "Club 520" podcast recently. Advertisement Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what Teague had to say about the prospect of Brown being dealt if the Celtics get swept by the Knicks in the second round.
