Harlequins winger Isgro banned for dangerous tackle
Harlequins winger Rodrigo Isgro has been banned for three weeks for a dangerous tackle on Bath winger Joe Argentina back was cited after being yellow-carded for the head-on-head contact in the fourth minute of the game. Isgro failed a head injury assessment while he was in the sin bin and did not return to the field of play. The head injury means Isgro is unavailable for Saturday's European Champions Cup trip to Leinster, so that match will not count towards his independent disciplinary panel judged his tackle met the threshold for a red card and that his ban will begin next week, should Harlequins reach the Champions Cup quarter-final on 11 will then include the London side's Premiership game with Sale a week later. Should Quins be knocked out of Europe in Dublin on Saturday Isgro would also miss the following weekend's game with Leicester. Isgro can have his ban reduced by a week if he completes World Rugby's Coaching Intervention Programme - if he does not complete it and Quins are knocked out of Europe by Leinster he would also miss his side's Premiership game with Gloucester on 10 May.

Ireland centre Ringrose to miss Six Nations clash with France after suspension
Feb 27 (Reuters) - Ireland will be without Garry Ringrose for their crucial Six Nations clash with France after the centre's red card against Wales was upheld by a disciplinary committee on Thursday, but he should be available for the final game against Italy. Ringrose received a yellow card, later upgraded to a 20-minute red on bunker review, for a dangerous tackle on Wales centre Ben Thomas that resulted in head-on-head contact, in Ireland's 27-18 win last Saturday. The disciplinary committee determined that the mid-range entry point of six weeks/matches was appropriate, but after the player accepted committing an act of foul play, they applied the maximum 50% reduction. That three week/game ban will be cut to two once Ringrose takes part in World Rugby's Coaching Intervention Programme, which would make him available for Ireland's final Six Nations game against Italy. Along with the France game on March 8, Ringrose will miss this weekend's United Rugby Championship game for Leinster against Cardiff. Ireland lead the Six Nations standings after three wins from three and are still on course for the Grand Slam but with France three points behind in second, the French could still win the championship.

French flyhalf Ntamack suspended for Italy match, but can face Ireland
Feb 11 (Reuters) - France flyhalf Romain Ntamack will miss the next Six Nations match against Italy through suspension but will be allowed to return for the Ireland clash once he takes part in World Rugby's Coaching Intervention Programme. Ntamack picked up a yellow card for a shoulder-to-head tackle on Ben Thomas late in France's 43-0 win over Wales last month, which was upgraded to a red card following a review. The disciplinary committee determined that the mid-range entry point of six weeks/matches was appropriate but reduced this to three after Ntamack accepted he committed an act of foul play, along with his exemplary disciplinary record. The Six Nations initially said Ntamack would miss the England game at Twickenham last Saturday, which France lost 26-25, and have now confirmed his suspension will cover the Italy match in Rome on February 23. Ntamack can apply to take part in the Coaching Intervention Programme, which is aimed at modifying specific techniques and technical issues that contributed to the foul play, and this would substitute the final match of his sanction. This would leave Ntamack available for France's crunch clash with Six Nations leaders Ireland in Dublin on March 8. France are second in the standings on six points, four behind Ireland.
