Erie thrift stores could see uptick in business amid tariffs
If prices rise as anticipated due to the new tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration, one type of business could actually see an increase in customers.
Budget-conscious shoppers may opt to patronize thrift stores in an effort to avoid high price tags at traditional stores.

The owner of Cobb's Thrift Store on Parade Street in downtown Erie said she's already seeing new faces come into her store.
'People saying that furniture and other things have just gotten too expensive. And so we've already seen it and we already had a lot of customers, now we're gaining a lot of new customers. So, things are things are really picking up,' said Amy Cobb, owner of Cobb's Thrift Shop.

Cobb said not only are the items in her store more affordable. When you buy second-hand you're often getting a higher quality item and supporting the environment.
