LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman is dead after she was struck and killed by an SUV in southwest Las Vegas on Sunday. The collision occurred before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night near the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Conquistador Street in southwest Las Vegas. According to police, evidence indicated that a sports utility vehicle was traveling east on Tropicana Avenue, east of Conquistador Street, where a woman who investigators believe was kneeling or lying in the roadway was by that SUV. The woman was taken to an area hospital, where she died. Police said the SUV didn't stop; instead, it continued east without returning to the scene. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and police are looking for the vehicle, which they describe as an older model Ford Edge or Lincoln MKX. The SUV would have front-end damage and was last seen fleeing east on Tropicana Avenue. Police: Van driver flees scene after fatal crash in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are looking for the driver of a van involved in a crash that left one man dead. The crash occurred on Wednesday around 5:40 p.m. on Rainbow Boulevard and Laredo Street, just south of Sahara Avenue. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, the driver of the van ran a stop sign and collided with an Audi TT driving on Rainbow. The crash caused the van to spin around and hit a man crossing the street. The 62-year-old man died at the scene. Pedestrian dead after central Las Vegas valley crash Police said the driver of the Chevrolet Express Van ran away from the crash scene. The Audi's driver, a 38-year-old woman, was not injured and showed no signs of impairment. The Clark County Coroner's office will release the man's identity. He is the 48th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction for 2025.
