Witnesses needed after man throws cat into Colonial Capital Humane Society parking lot
CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — The Craven County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who tossed a cat out of his car.
Around 5 p.m. on Monday, a man was witnessed throwing a cat from his car into the Colonial Capital Humane Society's parking lot. The Sheriff's Office says according to G.S. 24-361.1, any person who is the owner or the possessor of an animal or has full custody of it, and willfully abandons the animal without justifiable excuses, is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public to help identify the man. They say if you have any information to contact 252-633-2357.
