Kendrick Lamar sports Deion Sanders' signature shoes during Super Bowl halftime show
World-renowned rapper Kendrick Lamar rocked the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana during his Super Bowl LIX halftime performance on Sunday night while rocking the trademark kicks of Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders.
Lamar wore the Nike Air DT Max '96 during the show, Sanders' signature shoe commonly worn by Buffs players and currently seeing a rapid rise in popular culture. Sporting the "Colorado Away" colorway, the 22-time Grammy Award-winner performed chart-topping tracks such as "Not Like Us," "All The Stars" and "HUMBLE" on one of the sports world's grandest stages, showing some love to Coach Prime in the process.
Sanders showed his appreciation to the hip-hop icon via social media.
While it's unclear if Sanders' gesture referred to the shoes or simply the electrifying performance as a whole, Lamar became yet another representative of the "Prime Effect" seen throughout sports and culture.
