Shilo Sanders Turns Heads With Apple Watch Drop for Colorado Players
Shilo Sanders Turns Heads With Apple Watch Drop for Colorado Players originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Shilo Sanders may be in the NFL now, but the former Colorado safety is still finding ways to influence the Buffaloes program he helped elevate. Advertisement In a recent video posted by defensive lineman Tawfiq Thomas, many other Colorado players showed off Apple Watches gifted by Sanders, now a rookie safety with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Thomas celebrated the moment by flashing his new piece of technology and wrote, 'Apple Watch after workout. Yes sir, Shilo!' The group of Buffs joined in by doing 'The Shedeur," honoring Shilo's younger brother and former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. His gift carried a deeper message that despite moving on, he remains connected to the program. During his time in Boulder, Sanders was known as a vocal leader and a presence on and off the field. He embraced recruiting efforts and took ownership of the defense, often urging prospective players to reach out directly. Now, his leadership takes a new form by reminding current players that the brotherhood doesn't end when players leave campus. Advertisement In a college football era dominated by NIL deals and the transfer portal, moments of continuity resonate. The Apple Watches may draw attention, but the real value lies in the message of loyalty and legacy. The massive default judgement stems from damages to a former high school security guard during a 2015 assault. Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example
Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jordan Seaton has embraced his new leadership role at Colorado. The former five-star has become the face of the Buffs and leads by example. The latest request from his coaches shows his growth over the past year. CU strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey challenged the team to become 'attractive'. He explained his request and how it applies to football. Advertisement 'Become attractive men. In football, to a coach, to your teammates, being attractive is being somebody that people look up to and want to be motivated from. Be attractive men. It will help the team be more successful if you take care of yourself,' Swasey said. Seaton developed in his freshman season. There was no waiting on the sidelines with the one-time IMG Academy product starting immediately. With the absence of names like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, CamRon Silmon-Craig, and others who have departed the program for life after college, a leadership void was expected. However, Seaton has chosen to fill that void in a big way. Some of the new Colorado players have become adjusted to live in Boulder. Every year the same thing happens. New recruits and transfers arrive in Boulder for summer camp, and some find out very quickly that the elevation and thin mountain air is a real thing. It is not uncommon for new players to face an adjustment period. In today's conditioning periods, multiple players were seen gassed and even in danger of suffering from altitude sickness. Two years ago, a viral video surfaced of former CU five-star Cormani McClain struggling to adjust with none of his teammates helping him out. Today's workout revealed Jordan Seaton has no intention of allowing that to happen. As players began to show signs of sickness, he was there for them. Terrell Timmons, Brandon Davis-Swain and Tyler Brown could be seen assisting players to catch their breath with Seaton nearby off camera. Advertisement Related: Browns OC Sends Clear Message About Shedeur Sanders in QB Battle As doubt and the desire to quit crept in, Seaton had a clear message. He allowed for a breather but would not accept quitting on the conditioning. 'Okay, but he's not quitting, he ain't quitting,' Seaton declared. After each run, he would check back with words of encouragement. Before too long, even those struggling pushed themselves to get back to the line to run the sprint. Related: Deion Sanders Reveals He's Been Battling Health Issues During Offseason Whether it was a new player or an established one coming off an injury, multiple players struggled. Before long players like Seaton and Yahya Attia were asking Swasey to 'blow it' as if they weren't interested in resting between reps. While this team under Deion Sanders has never been 'out for self', there is a strong sense of 'we' over 'me' early in this offseason. While everyone seems to be bought in on the concept, it's becoming very clear that Seaton intends to be the vocal leader of this football team. Colorado targets Fla. OL Mark Holloway, official visit already set
There is a strong feel that Mark Holloway's recruitment was changed in the last week. The St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood offensive tackle earned an offer from Colorado and the Buffs look like a major contender right away. Advertisement An official visit has already been set. "So they came to see me Tuesday and we talked for a long time just about football and life," Holloway said. It's hard to throw to WR's that you don't know, everyone run routes different ! — Shedeur Sanders (@ShedeurSanders) March 2, 2025 Sometimes the NFL Combine doesn't go as expected, and Shedeur Sanders understands that. Let's face it. The combine is stressful enough with so many NFL scouts, front office personnel, and owners eyeing players' every move. Nearly everything, from how they carry themselves to how they dress to the way they answer questions, is scrutinized. And if you're expected to be the face of a franchise, it's even worse. So, when Ohio State quarterback Will Howard didn't have a good day in Indianapolis and fans immediately piled on, the Colorado Buffs star came to his rescue with a classy post on X (formerly Twitter). "I don't understand y'all hating on [Will Howard]," Shedeur said. "He just won a natty. It's hard to throw to WR's that you don't know. Everyone run routes different!"
