Exclusive: Sara Ali Khan teams up with Aanand L Rai for next film

Actor Sara Ali Khan is all set to collaborate with her 'Atrangi Re' director Aanand L Rai. The filmmaker is producing her next film under his banner Colour Yellow Productions. The much-anticipated project is set to present her in a very different close to the film exclusively told that Sara has already started work on the film in Mumbai. However, all details of the film are being kept under wraps. The team is prepping to finish the shoot soon, as they are eyeing a release sometime in 2026. While not much is known about Sara Ali Khan's character, the source assured that the film and her character will surprise all her this year, the 'Love Aaj Kal 2' actor shared a photo with the filmmaker on Instagram, raising speculations of them coming back together. The picture from New Delhi's Bangla Sahib Gurudwara had her wearing a simple pink traditional wear, as she leaned on Rai's shoulder. The filmmaker reposted the story on his account with the caption, 'Blessings satnam shri waheguru (sic)'. Apart from bankrolling Sara's next, Rai is also set to helm a film with the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. Kriti Sanon marked a major milestone in her cinematic journey today as she celebrated 11 years since her Bollywood debut in Heropanti, which hit screens on May 24, 2014. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared rare behind-the-scenes footage from the set of the romantic action drama that launched both her and co-star Tiger Shroff into the limelight. Directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Heropanti told the story of two young lovers navigating a turbulent and violent backdrop. A remake of the Bengali hit Shedin Dekha Hoyechilo, the film struck a chord with audiences and set the stage for a sequel, Heropanti 2, which was released in 2022 featuring Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Tara Sutaria. Currently, Kriti is shooting for her next big project, Tere Ishk Mein, directed by Aanand L Rai. This marks her first collaboration with Southern superstar Dhanush. A spiritual successor to Rai's 2013 romantic drama Raanjhanaa, the film explores themes of unrequited love and emotional turmoil. The teaser hints at high drama, with Dhanush's character Shankar introduced amid fiery chaos and intense dialogues. Kriti's glimpse as Mukti from the film has already grabbed attention. Seen walking through a battlefield-like setting, she douses herself in petrol and holds a lighter in a gripping visual, heightening anticipation for her performance. Backed by T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions, with music by A.R. Rahman and screenplay by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, Tere Ishk Mein is slated for a grand release in Hindi and Tamil on November 28.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Aanand L. Rai has joined hands with director Hemant Dhome after 'Jhimma 2' and 'Fussclass Dabhade' for their third collaboration titled 'Krantijyoti Vidyalay – Marathi Madhyam.' Colour Yellow and Chalchitra Mandalee announce their third film together on Thursday. Produced by Aanand L Rai and Kshitee Jog, the film is directed by Hemant Dhome, who also serves as the writer. Rai's production banner Colour Yellow Productions, on the occasion of Maharashtra Day on Thursday, made the announcement on Instagram. Sharing a poster of the upcoming film, the caption read: 'Marathi bhasha aani sanskruti tikvaychi asel, tar Marathi shala vachvavyach lagtil! Karan, aaplya matit rujavaan aani abhaalala bhidavaan… Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam.' 'Aata Marathi shala punha bharnaar! Lavkarach aaplya jawalchya chitrapatgruhat! While plot details remain under wraps, 'Krantijyoti Vidyalay – Marathi Madhyam' is expected to deliver the same blend of heart, insight, and authenticity that audiences have come to expect from this creative trio. This also marks Colour Yellow's fourth Marathi-language venture. Colour Yellow Productions was founded in 2011 by Aanand L. Rai.
