Bicyclist killed Saturday night in Ogdensburg
OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 19-year-old woman has died after being struck by a pickup truck Saturday night in the City of Ogdensburg.
According to the Ogdensburg Police Department, 24-year-old Colton Stemples of Lisbon was operating his Ford F-150 pickup truck in a southerly direction on State Street in Ogdensburg when he collided with Cheyanne Morales of Cleburne, Texas at intersection of LaFayette Street.
Morales was riding her bicycle in a westerly direction according to police. Authorities received word of the call just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
Ogdensburg Police Department and the Ogdensburg Rescue squad took life saving measures on scene and transported Morales Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, where she passed away as a result of her injuries.
At this time there are no charges, however the investigation is still ongoing.
