Devin Kaplan departs BU, signs pro contract with Flyers

Kaplan, who wrapped up his career on Commonwealth Ave. with 25 goals and 39 assists in 115 games, is expected to open next season with AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley, according to several reports.
Kaplan is the latest Terrier departure, as forwards Ryan Greene (Chicago), Quinn Hutson (Edmonton), and Shane Lachance (New Jersey) have inked their ELCs.

The Flyers were busy Tuesday, as they also signed Alex Bump, the leading scorer for national champion Western Michigan (23 goals, 24 assists), to his three-year ELC. But that deal won't kick in until next season, as Bump will instead report to AHL Lehigh Valley for the Phantoms' playoff run.
