Deaf Services Lanarkshire to take over Coatbridge centre

Deaf Services Lanarkshire has been approved for a Community Asset Transfer (CAT) of Shawhead Community Centre, granting the group ownership and management of the facility. The decision allows Deaf Services Lanarkshire to establish a permanent base from which they will deliver a wide range of services, events, and activities for the deaf community and local residents. The facility will offer a dedicated space for the deaf community, offer BSL interpreting services and training, and operate a drop-in centre.
