Intoxication suspected in US 93 crash that killed Ronan man
Apr. 30—Intoxication is a suspected factor in a head-on crash on U.S. 93 that killed a Ronan man April 25, authorities report. Devin Fryslie, 34, of Ronan died in the crash that occurred at about 1 a.m. at mile marker 50 north of Ronan, according to a press release from Lake County Sheriff Don Bell. According to Montana Highway Patrol's accident report, Fryslie was driving a Nissan Frontier southbound in the northbound lane. The pickup impacted a Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 43-year-old Missoula woman. Fryslie was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. The Jetta driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken to St. Luke Community Healthcare with injuries. The Highway Patrol report lists alcohol and drugs as suspected factors in the crash. Road conditions were dry. Bell said Fryslie's body was sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy. The Lake County Coroner's Office was investigating the death.
