Byron senior Nolan Brass honored by the Chicago Bears with a Bears Community All-Star Award
BYRON, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Byron High School senior Nolan Brass is hard to overlook on the field and off the field. The Chicago Bears certainly haven't overlooked Bears have named the Tigers' big lineman one of their Community High School Award winners for his accomplishments on and off the field and for his contributions to his has been a four-year varsity lineman for Byron's football team helping the Tigers to two state championships. Off the field, he has a 3.5 GPA. He also made the Illinois Football Coaches' Association Academic All-State Football also started up a highly successful anti-bulling initiative in Byron called 'TIE' which stands for 'Totally Include Everyone.' It's being used in Byron's schools. The Bears have presented Brass with a custom hand-painted football, and a gift bag, and they've invited him to a future Chicago Bears event. The Bears will also donate $500 to a charity of Brass's choice.
