Minister Rijijiu, Arunachal & Sikkim CMs to attend 90th birthday function of HH Dalai Lama on July 6
Dharamshala, June 19 (UNI) Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijijiu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu and Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang and Chief Executive counsellor Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Centre Tashi Gyalson will attend the 90th birthday celebrations of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama here at the main Tibetan Temple at McLeodganj on July six.
This was disclosed by Tenzin Chemey, member Media sub-committee of Central Tibetan Administration.
She said that the day will be celebrated as 'Compassion Day' and the year will be celebrated as ' Compassion Year' and people from all over the world will attend the function.
The 90th birthday programme will be organised on a big scale by the Central Tibetan Administration and the entire CTA staff was busy in making the programme successful.
aTenzin Chemey told UNI that the Year of Compassion will be marked by a series of events and Festivals across the globe led by Tibetan communities, supporters of Tibet, and friends of His Holiness.
She said that these events will include cultural performances and exhibitions, Film Festivals and Educational Programmes, free medical camps and humanitarian outreach, religious ceremonies and interfaith dialogues.
