It brought joy, relief, and renewed energy among the candidates, who waited for nearly 11 months for the results. The Mains exam was held from June 22 to 24, 2024, but the results were postponed following the end of the tenure of the former JPSC chairman. The recruitment drive, advertised on Jan 27, 2024, saw its preliminary stage held on March 17, 2024, and shortlisted 7,011 candidates for the Mains. The application process for the combined civil services examination commenced on Feb 1, 2024, and candidates were allowed to submit their applications until Feb 29, 2024. However, the prolonged delay in declaring the results led to widespread protests and demonstrations outside the JPSC headquarters, including a hunger strike by a group of aspirants till last week. Satyanarayan Shukla, an aspirant, said, "We waited 11 months for the results. The delay tested our patience, but we kept raising our voice through peaceful protests. This announcement has finally brought us the clarity and direction we needed." The selected candidates now move on to the final stage, the interview round, for which dates will be announced soon. The recruitment drive aims to fill key vacancies in departments such as administrative services, finance, labour, cooperative, and education, offering aspirants the opportunity to contribute to the governance and development of the state. Vishal Choudhary, another candidate, said, "The uncertainty affected my mental preparation, but now this result has given me new hope. The focus now shifts to the next interview stage."
