Kirby Smart, Georgia Dealt Recruiting News on Thursday
Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs got a big-time recruiting win on Thursday, landing a commitment from four-star inside offensive lineman Graham Houston. Houston, a 6-foot-5, 310-lbs lineman, chose the Bulldogs over Ole Miss, Florida and Florida State. The Buford, Georgia native is the No. 23 IOL in the nation's 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. Advertisement Houston made several visits to Athens over the past year. "The energy was unmatched from all the other schools that I've been to," Houston said, via Dawgs247. "They've expressed that I'm a big prospect for them in Georgia," he continued. "I'm really happy about that, because I'm a Georgia kid. They just treat me like I'm a player." Georgia has some excellent incoming talent. This year's class ranks No. 2 in the nation, featuring five five-star and 20 four-star recruits. Houston is looking forward to working with Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels. Advertisement 'They have a great history at Georgia and coach Searels is a really good coach,' he said back in March, via On3 Sports. 'He has put a lot of guys in the NFL, so that is nice. Nebraska Dealt Major Recruiting News on Thursday
Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers notched a big recruiting win on Thursday, landing a commitment from four-star quarterback prospect Trae Taylor. Taylor ranks as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 35 overall recruit in the nation's 2027 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. The 6-foot-3 signal caller out of Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois chose to commit to Nebraska over his other top options: Texas A&M, LSU and Illinois. Advertisement During his commitment announcement on a livestream, Taylor first put on an Illinois hat before tossing it off to the side. 'Committing to Nebraska is amazing but I still need to prove why I am the best player in 2027 this year," Taylor said after his commitment decision. Taylor is excited about his upcoming partnership with co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Glenn Thomas. The high school sophomore spent time with Thomas and Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola during his unofficial visit this past weekend. "Sitting down with Coach Thomas and getting into the offense, seeing how he coaches Dylan and how he can prepare me for the next level -- I really just can't wait," Taylor said, via ESPN. "For me, it's kind of hard committing too early because I have to wait so long to get there." Advertisement Taylor threw for 3,061 yards, 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions in his sophomore season at Carmel Catholic. "Everybody in that building has made it clear that they want me. Their offense fits me the best -- very pro-style. Any quarterback who wants to go to the NFL can be successful there." Nebraska will kickoff its 2025 college football campaign with a matchup against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Aug. 28.

Huskers land official visit with top class of 2027 defensive lineman
Huskers land official visit with top class of 2027 defensive lineman Class of 2026 four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis will be taking an official visit to the Nebraska football program from June 14-16th. He made the announcement on social media Monday evening. Davis is the ninth-ranked defensive lineman in the 2026 class and the second-ranked player in his class from the state of Missouri, per the247Sports Composite Rankings. He has several visits lined up this summer, including the Alabama Crimson Tide on May 30 and the Michigan Wolverines on June 20. The edge defender has had a busy month. He was offered by the Miami Hurricanes on March 2 and took an unofficial visit to the Missouri Tigers on March 8. Davis is coming off a 2024 season that saw him tally 17 total tackles and two sacks in five games played, per statistics from The 2026 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 48th overall in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The class has three commitments. Davis is certainly a notable visitor. It'll be interesting to see what type of impact defensive line coach Terry Bradden has on this recruitment. The fact that the program was able to get Davis on campus for an official visit means that they view him as a priority player. The defensive line has young talent waiting in the wings for the future, and Davis would be another solid addition.
