Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today reported on a range of significant events that unfolded over the past 24 hours. Key activities included royal engagements, diplomatic meetings, and advancements in technology and safety regulations. According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received the BDF Commander-in-Chief, where discussions likely focused on national defense matters. Further emphasizing Bahrain's military ties, the BDF Commander-in-Chief also met with the UK Senior Defence Advisor for the Middle East. In governance, HM King issued Order (14) of 2025, while HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad chaired a meeting of the Hawar Islands Development Higher Authority and issued Decisions (7) and (8) of 2025. Diplomatic engagements were highlighted by the Foreign Minister's meeting with the US Ambassador, with Bahrain advocating for calm to prevent escalation between India and Pakistan. The Information Minister led a committee meeting for the Gulf Radio and Television Festival, and the Youth Minister engaged in discussions on youth affairs with the Shura Council. In education and tourism, the Education Minister inaugurated the Career Fair 2025 at Bahrain Polytechnic, and the Tourism Minister attended the Connections Luxury Bahrain event. Bahrain further showcased its commitment to innovation by adopting smart tracking regulations for small vessels to enhance maritime safety. Additionally, the Finance Ministry Undersecretary participated in the 73rd GCC meeting of Finance Ministry Undersecretaries, and a Public Prosecution delegation visited Oman to exchange expertise. Notably, NatsumeAtari and Bahrain EDB announced plans to develop a landmark game for Expo 2025, marking a significant step in the nation's technological and creative endeavors.

Bahrain Hosts Luxury Forum
Bahrain has reaffirmed its status as a rising global luxury tourism destination with the successful hosting of the third edition of 'Connections Luxury Bahrain', held in partnership with Jacobs Media Group and attended by 30 elite travel companies from the UK, Germany, France, and China. The three-day event concluded on Tuesday evening with a ceremony at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort, attended by Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, Minister of Tourism. The initiative is part of efforts to attract high-end tourism and boost Bahrain's international presence as a premium destination. Infrastructure Highlighted In her closing remarks, the minister said Bahrain's advanced infrastructure played a key role in enhancing its position on the global tourism map. She added that the event helped connect Bahraini hotels and tourism operators with international partners, furthering the goals of the national tourism strategy for 2022–2026. Global Engagement Guests took part in bilateral meetings at the Ritz-Carlton and Jumeirah Bahrain Bay hotels, while site visits were arranged to the Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Sofitel, and the Bahrain International Circuit. A select group also stayed at Hawar Bay Mantis, a flagship eco-tourism resort. Turani, Director of Marketing and Promotion at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), said Bahrain is committed to hosting high-profile tourism events to showcase the exceptional quality of its hospitality sector. Strategic Positioning The event aimed to build long-term partnerships between Bahrain's luxury tourism stakeholders and their global counterparts, while promoting the Kingdom's world-class hotels, unique destinations, and investment in major tourism infrastructure projects.
