Trump-supporting CEO rants about destruction of American manufacturing jobs. His own firm makes t-shirts in Nicaragua
Anthony Constantino, CEO of Sticker Mule, recently took to social media to express concern over the decline of American manufacturing jobs, attributing the issue to Democratic policies. However, his comments have drawn criticism due to Sticker Mule's own manufacturing practices. In a post shared on the social media platform X, Constantino wrote, "Democrats train their supporters to openly wish for the destruction of American Manufacturing jobs." This prompted responses highlighting that Sticker Mule's T-shirts are manufactured in Nicaragua, raising questions about the company's commitment to domestic production. Constantino is a vocal supporter of US President Donald Trump, who has vowed to revive American manufacturing jobs and crack down on immigration. The CEO of Sticker Mule has an X banner that reads 'Vote for Trump', while his profile picture shows him wearing a T-shirt that says 'Trump for peace'. Social media users were quick to point out that Constantino's argument about loss of American manufacturing jobs was rather watered down by the fact that he himself sources his T-shirts from overseas. Canadian menswear writer and prominent social media commentator Derek Guy was among those who called him out. 'Hi Anthony! I agree, we should support US manufacturing jobs. I see you're the CEO of Sticker Mule and your $20 t-shirts are made in Nicaragua. As you know, cheap imports make it hard for US factories. Would you be interested in supporting US manufacturers? I can help for a fee,' Guy wrote on X. The offer to help prompted a caustic response from the CEO. Dozens of other social media users also called out Constantino for hypocrisy. 'Your T-shirts are made in Nicaragua,' wrote one person. 'I was a customer of yours. Thanks to this tweet—and the fact you manufacture your products overseas while simultaneously bashing Americans who are pissed you don't put your money where your mouth is— I will no longer be one,' X user Joshua said. 'Hey why aren't your shirts made in America?' a person questioned the CEO of Sticker Mule.

Liz Joy, who ran in NY-21 special election that didn't happen, says fellow candidate Constantino has defamed her
Apr. 14—Anthony Constantino, one of the more prominent candidates who sought the Republican nod for the special election to replace Rep. Elise M. Stefanik that was scrapped last month, has been hit with a cease and desist letter over his public comments about another candidate. On Friday, Constantino shared the full text of a cease and desist letter sent to his communications director from lawyers representing Elizabeth "Liz" Joy, who was another prominent name in the search for the GOP nominee. Joy's lawyer, Tom Armstrong of the Buffalo firm Gerber, Ciano, Kelly and Brady, detailed four separate remarks or publications from Constantino or an agent on his behalf that they claimed were "defamatory and provably false." Those comments include a Facebook comment from March 18 where Constantino alleged that Joy had taken donations in her previous campaigns for Congress in NY-20 around Albany while expecting to lose the race; a Facebook comment from March 19 that made the same assertions and accused her of "defrauding the voters;" another Facebook post where he said he had a recording of a radio show where Joy admitted to taking donations while expecting to lose; and finally a paid publication in the Schenectady Daily Gazette from Constantino's communications director that repeated the allegations again. Constantino, who runs an international sticker manufacturing and printing company from Amsterdam, Montgomery County, was a firebrand in the monthslong ramp up to the anticipated election. While the 15 county chairs in north country were the ones who would ultimately pick the nominee, Constantino focused on meeting the voters and getting name recognition, running advertisements, events and even a cage fighting match to amplify his profile in the district. He regularly criticized the other nominees in the race, variously accusing the more prominent names that were floated of being positioned against President Donald J. Trump, political opportunists, ladder-climbers or flatly unqualified. That talk worried some of the GOP chairs tasked with making the pick, and fostered a frosty relationship between Constantino and local party operations. When reached for comment, Joy's attorney said the comments leveled at her by Constantino are provably false, and they expect to go to court over the issue. "This is going to be a case for the judge or jury to determine," Armstrong said. "It's our opinion these statements are demonstrably false and they're going to be proven in court." In the cease and desist letter, Armstrong requested that Constantino immediately stop sharing comments about Joy, remove or move to have those comments and article taken down, and within 10 days make a formal apology on Facebook and in the Schenectady Gazette recanting his statements. If those terms weren't met, the letter states that Joy is entitled to compensation and intends to pursue "all legal remedies". Joy sent a statement maintaining that her campaigns have always been earnest efforts to win. "I have always worked hard and honorably to serve my community, our state and nation," she said. "I have done that in many capacities, including two congressional campaigns in the 20th District. I am also grateful to have been a top contender in consideration for the NY-21 special election last month, before Congresswoman Elise Stefanik's nomination was pulled by President Trump. I love New York and especially New Yorkers. I want the next generation to have a great future in our country and here in our beautiful state." But Constantino maintains his messaging was not off-base, that he was simply defending his position and making the case that he was the best pick among the nominees on offer for NY-21 Republicans. In a post on social media sharing the cease and desist letter, Constantino addressed Joy directly. "Liz, you're a 'public figure' who tried 3 times to profit off politics," he said. "This moronic attempt to silence me for sharing my opinion is the latest example of Liz's 'loser' mentality. How stupid are you to send lawyers after me for critiquing your candidacy?"

Trump statue erected at his golf club (VIDEO)
A statue of Donald Trump has been erected at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The artwork, titled the 'The Defiance Monument', depicts the US president pumping his fist in the air in an apparent reference to the gesture he made after facing an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last July. Moments after a bullet grazed his ear, Trump stood up, raised his fist, and shouted, 'Fight! Fight! Fight!' The attack, in which several shots were fired, left one person dead and two others severely wounded, with the gunman being killed on the spot by US Secret Service snipers. Trump himself took part in the unveiling of the statue on Saturday, posing for photos with the CEO of Sticker Mule company, Anthony Constantino, who gifted him the monument. 'The president was in a happy, joking mood which was great to see,' Constantino said. Read more White House doctor assesses Trump's health Constantino, who has been a Trump supporter since his first presidential term, commissioned the statue from LA-based filmmaker and sculptor, Steven Barber, in the fall for $275,000. The entrepreneur earlier said that presenting the monument to Trump had turned out to be challenging from a legal point of view. 'It is complicated with presidents and gifts and all that, so I guess technically I am loaning it to [Trump],' he said. In February, US sculptor Alan Cottrill unveiled a 15-foot (4.6-meter) bronze statue of Trump, called 'Don Colossus', which also pictured him with his first in the air. The piece is expected to tour the country before being permanently placed at the planned Donald J. Trump Presidential Library. Several other statues of Trump have been made in the US and elsewhere since 2016, including one in Slovenia and one in China. However, some such as 'Dump Trump' and 'The Emperor Has No Balls' have depicted the president in an unfavorable light.

Constantino threatens to run on independent line if GOP chooses Stec
PLATTSBURGH — Amsterdam businessman Anthony Constantino, who is among the contenders for the GOP nomination in the upcoming 21st Congressional District special election, is threatening to run as an independent if county Republican chairs select state Sen. Dan Stec (R-Queensbury) as the nominee. 'If GOP bosses rubber stamp this anti-Trump candidate (Stec), I will have to seriously consider filing for the special election as an independent to ensure that those who support President Trump and his agenda have a champion in Congress representing us,' Constantino said in a post on his campaign Facebook page on Tuesday. Constantino could not immediately be reached for additional comment on Tuesday. The post referenced the state Conservative Party disclosing earlier this week that Stec is the party's preferred candidate in the race, and that Stec, Assemblyman Chris Tague (R-Schoharie), and Liz Joy, a conservative speaker and writer from Glenville, are the only three potential GOP candidates the Conservative party would accept as its nominee. Under New York election law, candidates can run on multiple ballot lines and combine the total votes received in the tabulation. In recent congressional elections, Stefanik has received significantly more votes on the Conservative line than there are registered Conservative voters, apparently an indication of independent voters being drawn to the Conservative line. MANNING REACTS Contacted on Tuesday, Clinton County Republican Chairwoman Jerika Manning, said she hopes Constantino does not run as an independent. 'I certainly hope that he would not divide our vote on the Republican ballot. I don't think that would be productive,' she said. Manning said she did not have any additional comment. Fulton County Republican Chairman Susan O'Neil, the regional state Republican Committee vice chairwoman, downplayed Constantino's threat. 'Anthony Constantino can say whatever he wants,' she said, in a telephone interview. 'I deal with what we're doing today. I don't deal with hypotheticals.' CONSTANTINO PRESSURE Constantino has claimed that he and Stec are front runners for the nomination, citing an internal Constantino campaign poll in which he led with with 46.7% of respondents and Stec was in second place with 37.7%. Constantino has not released the methodology, questions asked or the audience makeup of the poll. Stec and Joy have both questioned the accuracy of the poll, according to news reports. Constantino has been running Facebook ads in recent days criticizing Stec for accepting the endorsement of the 'far left' New York State United Teachers, the state's largest teacher's union, in his Senate re-election bids, an endorsement Stefanik, herself, once accepted in her 2016 congressional reelection campaign. 'Now I hear he's a fan of teachers' unions? I support school choice,' Constantino wrote in the ad. Stec said in 2022 that endorsements from NYSUT and other police, corrections officer and construction unions showed that he had a broad base of support. Constantino reiterated an erroneous allegation that Stec did not endorse Trump in 2016, 2020 or 2024. In 2016, Stec initially said he was withholding an endorsement of Trump, but later said he supported the Republican ticket. Stec endorsed Trump in 2020 and 2024. SPECIAL ELECTION The special election, which has not yet been scheduled, will be held to fill the seat that becomes vacant when the U.S. Senate confirms the nomination of Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-Schuylerville) as U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Multiple national news reports have said that vote is likely to take place around April 2. Unlike a regular election, there is no primary in a special election. Party chairs in the 15 counties decide the nomination. Republican chairs have been tight-lipped about their selection process, other than to say there are 11 finalists, which include Stec, Tague, Joy and Constantino. Other finalists are: Matt Doheny, a businessman from Jefferson County who was the local Republican congressional candidate in 2012 and 2014; Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin; Joshua Parker of St. Lawrence County; Joe Pinion of Saratoga, a television news commentator who was the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate in New York in 2022; Charles Potter; Joseph Rutkowski, a construction company owner from Rome; state Assemblyman Robert Smullen (R-Mohawk). O'Neil said Tuesday that Republican chairs do not expect to select a candidate until Stefanik resigns. Tague, on Tuesday, touted his consistent support of Trump. 'I'm the only candidate in consideration who's undefeated, not just in regular elections, but in a special election and not one, but two three-way races,' he said, in a statement. 'I know from experience candidate selection will be critical in this race. What will make the Republican candidate vulnerable isn't the opposition, it's a weak record of support for the President, no experience in tough fights … .' Stec has been undefeated in all of his Assembly and Senate runs, but he lost the Republican endorsement for Congress in 2010. Stec and Joy could not immediately be reached for comment on Tuesday. The Democratic candidate is Blake Gendebien, a dairy farmer from Lisbon, in St. Lawrence County.
