Baby's condition stabilizes after Midland fire; family launches GoFundMe for lost home

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- A Midland family is seeking community support after a devastating house fire early Wednesday morning left them with nothing and sent Harmony, their three-month-old baby to the hospital in critical condition. The fire broke out around 4:36 a.m. in the 5100 block of East County Road 71, engulfing the family's double-wide mobile home in flames. Firefighters with the Midland Fire Department (MFD) responded quickly and were able to rescue the infant, later identified as Harmony, who was trapped inside. She is now in stable condition after receiving medical care. According to family member Cynthia Constanzo, Harmony's grandparents and siblings, along with an uncle and a family friend, managed to escape the fire. Tragically, the family's pets did not survive the blaze.
