Two teens dead following 'gunfight,' OKC police say
Two teens died and one was arrested following what police said was a gunfight Tuesday night in the parking lot of an elementary school in Oklahoma City.
Just before 9 p.m., police responded to Integris Southwest Medical Center on a report of three gunshot victims.
Police said those involved arrived at the hospital in two separate vehicles.
One victim died after arrival. Police identified the victim as Oscar Herrera, 18.
A second victim, Raymundo Fernandez, 17, also died at the hospital.
Investigators learned that several people met Tuesday night in the parking lot of 5212 S Villa Ave., which is the address of Coolidge Elementary School.
A dispute escalated to a gunfight, police said.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested on a complaint of second-degree murder.
The Oklahoman is not publishing the name of the accused because he has not been formally charged.
The homicides are No. 6 and No. 7 this year in Oklahoma City.
The investigation is in its early stages.
